I’ve been back in Chicago this week and in a rush to get back in track with school.
Found out Monday that my Accounting final will be this coming Monday. Econ final is still in two weeks from today. I have a Marketing Research paper for my online Marketing class, as well as an online final that I need to figure out how to study for.
This week, I just need to focus on my Accounting final and this paper so I can hit the last two exams full strength.
I’m missing a part of Memphis quite a bit, particularly a one Ashley. It’s been a while since I’ve had someone make me smile, I’m just enjoying that right now.

Here’s a quick update of my week in Memphis so far…
Tuesday: Flew in early afternoon and headed to the Tigers basketball game against Arkansas State. We won! 5-0 for the season.

Wednesday: Visited some friends, and then headed to Buffalo Wild Wings to see a bunch of people. Ended up going downtown to Alfred’s for a little bit.
Thursday: Turkey day! Made up stories to all my family for how Chicago was. It’s tropical btw. Thurs night, Krystal and I hit up Fox and Hound to escape family madness and then after getting my ass kicked at pool, we got some Donuts at Gibson’s. 5 for a dollar after 11:00. Delicious.
Friday: Avoided Black Friday shopping for as long as possible, had lunch with Sarah, then went to the Apple store to get my sister’s new laptop and got Leopard for myself. Afterwards, I took Ashley out for dinner which ended up being at Comedy, TN for some laughs, then Fox and Hound for some “Kryptonite Ritas”. They are friggin huge.

Saturday: Let the liver rest, and about to go grab some dinner in a few.
Sunday: I’ll be flying back to Chicago.
Memphis isn’t so bad when you take it in small doses. I did miss seeing Shane this trip since he was outta town earlier this week. Sucks. He’s my best bud.
Watching the Tigers play right now. This could be the season we break past the Elite 8.
Derek Rose is an amazing addition to an already great team. I can’t wait to see this season. So far we’re 2-0 and ranked #3 in the country.
My favorite players…
Chris Douglas-Roberts
Antonio Anderson (worked with him)
Joey Dorsey
Willie Kemp, Andre Allen
Robert Dozier, Doneal Mack
Shawn Taggart
Talk about a great team.

So it’s close to Thanksgiving and I head home in just over a week. I haven’t seen my family or friends in almost 4 months. Crazy how time flies.
I can’t wait to head home and see all of the familiar faces.
School is going well, I’m not gonna be on the Dean’s List but I should be passing all of my classes just fine. I have a job interview lined up on Monday, with a few other potentials right now.
More later…
